About me
My name is Claudia Alonso and I have a Degree in Audiovisual Communication from the University of Vigo. During my academic years I participated in different audiovisual projects, of which it is worth mentioning my contribution as a creator of content for social networks for the promotion of the Prevenidos web series (Lucía Estévez, 2016); the script of the short film Fume (Alejandro Rodríguez, 2016); the script and co-direction of the short film Van (Claudia Alonso and Cristina Burgos, 2017), and the creation of the Agora Ti project, which, through interviews and surveys of local athletes, intends to investigate whether there is equality in sport (Claudia Alonso and Alejandro Rodríguez 2017).
Likewise, I have carried out curricular practices as an editor at the EFE Communication Agency, and extracurricular as a volunteer of the Novos Cinemas International Film Festival, in its editions 0 and 1.
After these years as a student, I decided to leave my comfort zone and go to London in search of new experiences and to improve my level of English. When I got my first vacation I decided to travel alone to Crete, and there I fell in love with Greek culture and the Mediterranean lifestyle. So I made the decision to leave my life in England, I got a job at a hotel in Chania and lived there for six months, until autumn arrived and the hotel closed its doors.
Having dedicated myself to sectors not related to my studies has taught me to work under pressure, to be flexible, patient and fight for what really makes me happy.
I returned to Galicia, where in the last three years I have combined the Master in Social Media Communication and Digital Content Creation, with jobs in digital marketing agencies. First as a community manager at Siete Olas (2020-2021), and then as an audiovisual producer at Bysidecar (2021-2022). At this stage I have improved my skills with programs like Premiere, Illustrator or Photoshop, and I have learned a lot about brand communication, both internal and external. Currently, my purpose is to share my knowledge to help other companies achieve their goals.
